Internationally-known photographer Sandy Skoglund will conduct a master class of UCA photography students from Jan. 22-24 to create an exhibit installation that will be dedicated at the Visiting Artist Reception at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, in the Fireplace Room in McCastlain Hall. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the reception.
Sandy Skoglund burst upon the NYC art scene with acceptance of two photographs in the 1981 Whitney Museum of American Art Biennial. She has exhibited her art work nationally and internationally in selected solo exhibition and group exhibitions. Her work is in numerous private and public collections including the Brooklyn Museum (Brooklyn, N.Y.), the Chicago Art Institute (Chicago, Ill.), Corcoran Museum of Art (Washington, D.C.), Los Angeles County Museum of Fine Art (Los Angeles, Calif.), and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York, N.Y.).
