The University of Central Arkansas, The Latino Art Project and the Consul General of Mexico in Arkansas will present “Latinos Unidos,” an art exhibit displaying the works of Latino artists, Sept. 6 through Sept. 27 at UCA Downtown, located at 1105 W. Oak St. in downtown Conway. An opening reception will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at UCA Downtown.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, “Latinos Unidos” will showcase the rich and beautiful history of the Latino culture through stunning visual art. All of the works are created by artists who are immigrants or descendants of immigrants from Latino countries. Though the works are diverse in style and subject, all demonstrate the beauty of the Latino heritage. Will Hogg of The Latino Art Project and Rodolfo Quilantan, the head of post for the Consul General of Mexico in Arkansas, are the show organizers.
Featured artists include: Miguel Arrue, Luis Atilano, Charles Degollado, Jean da Silva, Hector del Campo, Victor Gomez, Liliana Hueso, Isaac Helguera, Lisandra di Liberto, Luis Saldaña, Nancy Salas, Daniella Napolitano, Inez Valdes, Juliana Vallejo, Jonathan Orea, Leo Charre, Yareli Hinojosa, x3mex and Sabrina Zarco.
