Tuesday, February 22
IDC Luncheon: International Opportunities for Faculty

Panel Members: Lindsay Wygal, Office of International Program; Brooks Green, Department of Geography; Elaine Fox, Department of Sociology; Rebecca Gatlin-Watts, MBA Program, Jaime Zambrano, Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
Each faculty member will briefly talk about their experiences of leading short-term study abroad trips, international grants, teaching abroad through faculty exchanges and other related topics. Wygal will discuss the call for 2006 short-term study abroad proposals.
Study Abroad Fair
9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Student Center 215
The Office of International Program will sponsor a study abroad fair. Former study abroad students, current international exchange students and UCA faculty leading short-term study abroad trips will be on hand to answer questions from interested students and faculty.

UCA Bears Without Borders Day
8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
In a community service initiative, international students will visit K-12 schools in Faulkner County to give presentations on their native language, culture and food.
Thursday, February 24
Conversation Partners Kickoff
10:50 a.m.-12:05 p.m.
Mashburn Hall, Room 204
The Conversation Partners program will kickoff the semester by talking with education majors about the importance of cultural perspectives and what it is like to be an international student at UCA.
Phi Beta Delta Induction Ceremony
4 p.m.
Baum Gallery/McCastlain Hall Fireplace Room
UCA will formally establish the Zeta Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Delta, the international education honor society. The charter class of international and domestic students, faculty, staff and alumni will be inducted into the organization.
International Bowling Night
9-11 p.m.
Conway Bowling Center
International students and guests are invited to try an American cultural experience: bowling. Lanes will be reserved and shoe rental free. Shuttle will run periodically from Main Hall.
Friday, February 25
International Programs Scholarship Banquet
Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center
6:30 p.m.
International Programs will host a banquet with an international flavor and cuisine. Three newly established awards will be given: the International Alumnus Award, the International Service Award and International Educator of the Year Award. Proceeds from the banquet will go to the Nicole Hatfield Study Abroad Scholarship and the Tomer International Student Scholarship.
