Inclement Weather Update for Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026

These frigid overnight temperatures have continued to slow the clearing of secondary roads and parking lots throughout the region. While the warming of Tuesday afternoon began to help, travel around the area and access to major thoroughfares and drives remains highly impacted. UCA will continue remote instruction Thursday, Jan. 29, and campus operations will continue to be limited to essential services and personnel. Faculty will communicate with students regarding any virtual assignments and/or adjustments to the syllabus and course schedule.

Supervisors, in coordination with division vice presidents, should communicate with employees regarding on-site staffing needs for essential services.

The hours for essential campus services are as follows:

Dining Options, Thursday, Jan. 29:

  • Christian Cafeteria will be open for continental breakfast from 7-9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner from 4-6 p.m.
  • Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, Student Center C-Store, and Bear Village C-Store will be open from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Sushic will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Einstein Bagels will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Other dining options may also be available. Check the UCA Campus Dining Instagram account @UCADining for the most up-to-date dining hours.

Other student services, including the Courtway Student Recreation Center, Ronnie Williams Student Center, and Torreyson Library, will have modified hours:

Courtway Student Recreation Center:

  • Open Thursday, Jan. 29, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Ronnie Williams Student Center:

  • Open Thursday, Jan. 29, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Torreyson Library:

  • Open Thursday, Jan. 29, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Virtual services will continue to be available via the website.

Dr. Randy Pastor Student Health Clinic:

  • Non-emergency medical assistance is available by telehealth appointment. Email shc@uca.edu, or schedule through the patient portal.

The IT Help Desk is currently operating on a normal schedule; however, there may be limited staff available to answer the phone. You can leave a message, and a member of the Help Desk staff will be in touch. For faster response and resolution, you can submit an online help ticket.
