The University of Central Arkansas Department of Housing and Residence Life will sponsor a UCA Spirit Contest for students living in UCA residence halls and apartment complexes.
This year?s theme, ?This is Bear Country,? will have residents competing for the best decorated room or apartment in their hall or complex. Judges will be looking for rooms and apartments that display outstanding UCA spirit. Each residence hall and apartment complex will have one winning room or apartment.
Winners will receive great gifts from Target and other area businesses and the chance to have their room displayed on the UCA Web site. Winning rooms and apartments may also be used for upcoming campus tours and advertising photos.
Housing and Residence Life Staff will be in the Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Oct. 24 -27, so students may sign up for the contest. Housing staff will also be able to answer any questions. The deadline to enter the contest is Friday, Oct. 28 at noon.
Students can pick up or turn in applications at the Housing office at 201 Bernard Hall or may submit applications to the Housing Graduate Assistant Office on the first floor of Baridon Hall. Applications may also be submitted to Residence or Apartment Coordinators.
Judges will be reviewing rooms the week of Oct. 31-Nov. 4. Winners will be notified on Friday, Nov. 5.
