Rush Harding III of Crews and Associates will be teaching at the University of Central Arkansas as a guest lecturer on a volunteer basis during the Fall 2011 semester.
Harding will teach a special problems course titled “Fixed Income and Municipal Finance” for the Department of Economics, Finance, and Insurance and Risk Management in the UCA College of Business. The course is designed to provide students with the tools necessary to better understand the nature of fixed income finance, and will serve as an elective course for UCA Finance majors and other qualified students.
“We are extraordinarily pleased to have the opportunity to expose our students to the knowledge and experience of an individual of this caliber,” said Dr. Tim Bisping, chair of the Department of Economics, Finance, and Insurance & Risk Management. “Opportunities such as this are rare, and we appreciate Mr. Harding’s willingness to serve in this capacity. Furthermore, he is teaching the course on a voluntary basis and will receive no compensation of any sort, which means that this course will be taught at no cost to the university.”
Bisping added, “this further demonstrates Mr. Harding’s level of commitment to UCA, and exemplifies the commitment we share to providing an exceptional education to our students.”
The course will be taught on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:15-6:30. Questions concerning this course may be directed to Dr. Tim Bisping at tbisping@uca.edu.
