University of Central Arkansas President Lu Hardin will speak at the national IBM CEO/CIO meeting in Chicago on Sept. 14.
More than 300 chief executive officers and chief information officers from across the country will be in attendance. The topic for this year?s meeting is business transformation and wireless solutions.
Hardin and IBM executive Scott Stainken will address the topic of providing a secure, flexible and reliable wireless-operating environment at colleges and universities. UCA is the first university in the nation to become a third-party provider to Internet and cell service in addition to being a wireless campus.
?This is a tremendous honor to be able to carry UCA?s message to a national audience of executives,? Hardin said.
Other speakers include IBM CEO Samuel Palmisano and Don Tapscott, an international speaker in the area of business strategy and organization.
