UCA President Lu Hardin will be the luncheon speaker when UCA hosts the Arkansas College Personnel Association and the Arkansas Collegiate Drug Education Committee Spring Conference on Thursday, April 22 in Brewer Hegeman Conference Center. The theme for the event is “Legislative and Student Issues in Higher Education.”
Hardin will welcome the group at 9:15 a.m. and then address the delegates at noon on the topic of “Relationship of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs – A President’s Perspective.”
Among the other speakers, Dr. Linda Beene, director of Arkansas Department of Higher Education. speaks at 9:25 a.m. on “Legislative Update, Funding Futures and the Role of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs,? and Dr. Iram Bakhtawar, M.D., Arkansas Department of Health, will give a speech titled “Update – Rules and Regulations Pertaining Tuberculosis Screening for Foreign Born University and College Students.” Other speakers and panel discussions will continue throughout the one-day event that adjourns at 3:30 p.m.
