Belinda Robertson and Linda Griffith, Department of Mathematics, received a $2,000 grant for the SEDL/SCIMAST Collaboration with the Arkansas Center for Mathematics Education.
The grant is funded through Southwest Educational Development Laboratory.
This grant will provide funds to purchase standards-based curriculum supplemental materials for mathematics and science. The materials purchased will be used by the teaching staff of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and the College of Education for teacher presentation classes and by the Arkansas Center for Mathmatics and Science Education staff to conduct teacher in-service workshops. These materials will also be available for UCA?s preservice teachers to use during their field experiences and for Arkansas teachers to use in their classrooms.
