Shelby Fiegel
Shelby Fiegel, assistant director of the University of Central Arkansas Center for Community and Economic Development, received the New Professional Award during the Arkansas Community Development Society’s annual conference, held at UCA in October.
The New Professional Award recognizes and encourages community developers who have worked for up to five years in the field of community development, and whose work has had an impact on Arkansas communities. As assistant director of the Center for Community and Economic Development, Fiegel assists with the annual Community Development Institute and manages projects in rural and mid-sized communities throughout the state of Arkansas.
The Arkansas Community Development Society is an educational nonprofit organization whose purpose is to advance community development and the community development profession.
