A dedication ceremony and open house of the new Dr. Jefferson D. Farris Jr. Honors Hall will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 5. A reception will follow.
Farris Honors Hall is located across from the HPER center on the corner of Farris Road and Student’s Lane.
The residence hall, which will house Honors College sophomores, juniors and seniors, is named in honor of the university’s sixth president. Dr. Farris called for the creation of the state’s first Honors College, which was established in 1982.
