At the August board meeting, the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees approved a proposal to renew contracts with the university?s health and dental insurance providers.
UCA will continue to use QualChoice of Arkansas as its health insurance provider. The renewal comes with a five percent increase in premiums.
In 2004, the university established a dental agreement with Blue Cross & Blue Shield. The renewal rate for 2005 was guaranteed to be no more than nine percent. Dental premiums for 2005 will meet the nine percent cap, and the current plan structure will remain the same.
