Dec. 3, 2004 is Bear Facts Day

The next Bear Facts Day at the University of Central Arkansas will be Friday, Dec. 3 with registration set to begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Center.

Bear Facts Days are special visitation days for interested students. “All prospective students are invited and encouraged to check out UCA firsthand to meet faculty, students and staff and tour the UCA campus,” said Penny Hatfield, director of Admissions.

An assembly officially starts the day at 10 a.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. UCA President Lu Hardin will welcome the students followed by an academic challenge from Dr. Tammy Benson.

Anna Lacy, assistant director of Admissions, will present a session entitled “What I wish someone had told me about college” beginning at 10:15 a.m. While she is talking with students, President Hardin will host a question-answer session for parents. A number of other UCA administrators will follow with Q&A sessions concerning their respective fields.

Lunch and campus tours will conclude the day.

Other Bear Facts Days this school year are set for Feb. 4 and April 1.
