The UCA Concert Choir will present two on-campus performances next week and one performance at Robinson Auditorium in Little Rock.
Performance schedule:
Sunday, March 7, at 3 p.m. at Reynolds Performance Hall
Monday, March 8, at 7:30pm at the Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall
Thursday, March 11, at 10:15 a.m. at Robinson Auditorium in Little Rock as part of the Southwest American Choral Director?s Association convention.
All three performances are free and open to the public.
The University of Central Arkansas Concert Choir is the most select of the choral ensembles at UCA and has developed a reputation for performing important choral repatoire with beauty and sensitivity.
Under the direction of John Erwin, associate professor of music and director of choral music at UCA, the choir has been invited to sing for many prestigious musical gatherings, notably the national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association, the Music Educators National Conference, and the National Association of Music Teachers.
In addition the choir has been invited to sing for five ACDA Southwest Divisional conventions and five Arkansas All State Music Educators conventions. This year, based on recordings submitted, the choir has been invited to sing for the Arkansas All State convention, the Southwest Division ACDA convention, and will represent the United States and Arkansas in the international choral competition in Riva del Garda Italy.
