Joseph Rugumyamheto, permanent secretary of the president?s office for public service management of Tanzania, will give a presentation titled, ?How Africa can claim the 21st Century” at 1:40 p.m., on Thursday, March 24 in BBA Room 205. The presentation is free and open to the public.Rugumyamheto’s professional duties include:
-Overseeing the management of Tanzania’s Public Service,
-Providing leadership in the ongoing Public Service Reform in Tanzania,
-Advising the government of Tanzania on human resources management and development policies.
Rugumyamheto also serves on the following boards:
-Chairman of the Government Board of the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI)
-Vice Chairman of the Council of newly established University for Management Sciences in Tanzania-Mzumbe University.
-Trustee of the Board of the Public Service Pension Fund
-Trustee of the Board of the Economic and Social Research Foundation-ESRF
-Member of the Board of Research on Poverty Alleviation-REPOA
-Chairman of the Board of Global Development Learning Centre Network
