CONWAY — Cirque Mechanics will make its third stop at the University of Central Arkansas on Monday, Nov. 17, at the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall.

CircusMechanics_PedalPunk4(c)JerryMetellus[1]The show, “Pedal Punk,” explores a world where cycling is a way for people to abandon a technology-obsessed culture, and is set for 7:30 p.m.

“Cirque has consistently delighted our audience with magnificent stunts and creative choreography,” said Amanda Horton, director of UCA Public Appearances. “I can’t wait to see what their new show has in store for our ticketholders.”

“Pedal Punk” begins when a wacky bike shop mechanic interacts with bikes and cyclists; he repairs more than broken pieces. He creates wondrous machines and inspires the cyclists in all.

“We are very close to selling this show out,” Horton said.

Chris Lashua, a Boston native and German wheel artist, founded Cirque Mechanics in 2004.It established itself as a premier American circus after Lashua’s success with the Circus Center of San Francisco, “Birdhouse Factory”. Cirque uses a unique storytelling style and innovative mechanical staging to reveal circus acrobatics, mechanical wonders and a unique style of clowning around.
