Name the Bear winner announced

University of Central Arkansas freshman Nakita Higgins was selected as the Name the Bear contest winner. A selection committee of faculty, staff and students chose Higgins’s submission as the name for the life-sized black bear outside Wingo Hall: Valor. UCA dedicates two sculptures

CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas will dedicate two sculptures that were carved from a diseased oak tree at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 2 in the Board of Trustees Conference Room.
