Classes will resume in Burdick Hall on June 18th following a week of air quality testing.
Emtec Environmental Solutions Company, an independent company specializing in environmental concerns, conducted several air quality tests this week. Those tests show oxygen levels at acceptable levels.
Carbon monoxide detectors and oxygen level meters have been installed on each floor of the building to monitor levels.
Burdick Hall was evacuated on June 7th after several students reported feeling ill. The building’s air system was inspected. Results from air quality testing conducted by the Conway Fire Department and the Environmental Enterprise Group showed oxygen levels at normal ranges. UCA officials requested additional testing as a precautionary measure. Classes were held in other locations on campus while the tests were conducted.
