Sen. Jason Rapert presents citation to Jann Bryant

CONWAY—The Arkansas Senate recognized Jann Bryant, Director of the UCA Community School of Music (CSM) and Coordinator of Music Advising, on May 12 for her years of dedication with the school.

Senator Jason Rapert presented Bryant a citation during the Voices of Central Arkansas Spring Concert.

Bryant has served the CSM as director since the beginning of the school nearly 25 years ago.

Bryant said that Sen. Rapert noticed her involvement in the CSM and the school’s impact on the students because his children have taken lessons through the school and performed in the children’s choir.

“A senate citation was certainly not something I expected but I was very thrilled and honored by it. It was quite humbling but very much appreciated,” said Bryant.

The school offers private music lessons and group lessons for children, teens, and adults.

The CSM is also home to the award-winning Voices of Central Arkansas children’s choir, which was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall because of their gold medal performances in Chicago and Dallas music festivals.
