Application forms are now available for book scholarships given each year to nontraditional women students by University Women, a nonprofit UCA organization.

Dr. Christina Standerfer, chairman of the University Women Scholarship Committee, must receive completed applications no later than Friday, March 5. Standerfer is a member of the Writing and Speech Department and may be reached at 307 Thompson Hall or by telephone at 450-5134.
University Women will award three $200 book scholarships to non-traditional women students, who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Applicants should be at least 23 years old, currently enrolled at UCA, with a minimum GPA of 3.25 in all classes. Students must already have earned at least 12 hours; no more than nine hours may be in transitional classes. Both graduate students and undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Recipients will be honored at the Honors Convocation on April 18.
