UCA Benefits Series tickets are now available for the contemporary dance company Complexions, who will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 at Reynolds Performance Hall. Each UCA faculty, staff, retiree, and resident of College Square is eligible for two free tickets by calling UCA Ticket Central at 450-3265 during regular box office hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Individuals calling for Benefits Series tickets should have their UCA I.D. ready, as that I.D. number is required when releasing the free Benefits tickets. UCA students may also receive two free tickets, but must present their UCA I.D. in person at the Reynolds Performance Hall Box Office during regular Box Office hours.Complexions Contemporary Dance was founded in 1994 by Choreographer Dwight Rhoden and Lead Dancer Desmond Richardson, who met while working together in the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre company. Complexions was founded to reflect and share the intensity, freedom and diversity of our time through dance. Desmond Richardson, who will dance in the concert, is considered by many to be among the top eschelon of male dancers, alongside Baryshnikov, Maartens, and Rudolf Nureyev.
Members of the Complexions company will conduct a master class for Intermediate Level modern dancers on the Reynolds Performance Hall stage at 7 p.m., Monday, April 25. To register, dancers should contact Debbie Rawn at the Arkansas Dance Network, at (501) 851-2149 or (501) 952-4182, or on-campus, contact Guy Couch at 450-3682. The public is invited to observe the master class, which will last 90-minutes.
