With almost 50 artists’ work present, the University of Central Arkansas’s Baum Gallery will celebrate its 15th birthday with live music, prizes and gallery exhibits for the gallery’s Artist Reception and 15th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, Oct. 7 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
The reception is free and open to the public. The four exhibitions cover a range of styles, ideas and skill levels.
“I think the sophistication of our four current exhibits really demonstrates what a resource the Baum Gallery is for our community — not only for UCA but for the larger community,” said Barclay McConnell, director of the Baum Gallery. “It offers really thought-provoking and beautifully executed work of a quality seen in major museums.”
All gallery exhibits and events are free and open to the public, and are made possible by the UCA Arts Fee. Gallery hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and Thursday 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
The exhibits will be on display through Oct. 27. – Rachel McAdams
