CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas will host Dancing with the Stars professionals, contestants from American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance in the upcoming production Ballroom with a Twist.

The spectacle is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall.

“If you love Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance or American Idol, this performance is for you,” said Amanda Horton, director of UCA Public Appearances. “The show was created and choreographed by Louis Van Amstel of Dancing With the Stars and features brilliant costumes, electrifying dance moves and talented vocalists. This will be a fun night for all ages as these amazing performers delight our audience with song and dance.”

Ballroom with a Twist features Anna Trebunskaya and Dmitry Chaplin of Dancing with the Stars.

Trebunskaya began dancing at age 6. She won her first title, the 1997 Amateur Standard Youth Championship, at 17. Trebunskaya was recognized as the 2004 USA Rising Star Latin Champion. Since then she has partnered with NFL quarterback Kurt Warner, US Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek, boxing great Sugar Ray Leonard, UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, actor Steve Guttenberg, fashion guru Carson Kresley and soap opera star Jack Wagner.

Chaplin, who began his dancing career in Russia at 12, is a star professional on Dancing With The Stars and an Emmy-nominated choreographer for his work on So You Think You Can Dance. He began his career on Dancing with the Stars in 2006. He has appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, Larry King Live, The View and many more.

Several favorite American Idol finalists will also join the show with their powerhouse hit songs.
