Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre’s 2017 season will be announced at AST’s annual Fall Membership Party on Thursday, Sept. 29.
The big announcement event will come at 6:30 p.m. at the Conway home of Dr. Mary Ruth Marotte, AST’s executive director, 4915 College Ave. The night’s festivities will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks, an art show and sale in coordination with Conway’s ArtsFest, as well as a special performance by cast members of AST’s touring production of Twelfth Night.
AST is touring Faukner County high schools this fall.
“Our 2017 summer season will build on the momentum we generated in last year’s 10th anniversary season by introducing audiences to more of Shakespeare’s wonderful works, as well as delighting young and old with a very popular American musical,” Marotte said. “We’re very excited to unfold our plans for next season.”
Admission to the party is free to all 2017 AST members, with membership donations taken at the door. Membership to AST begins at $50 per family.
