The Arkansas Coding Academy (ArCA) at the University of Central Arkansas will hold its final Demo Day of 2018 on Friday, Oct. 12, from 1-3 p.m. at UCA Downtown, 1105 W. Oak Street in Conway.

Demo Day is an event that allows recent ArCA graduates to showcase their work to the community and potential future employers. It allows students to discuss their projects and network with the community as they prepare to enter the career field.

ArCA aims to provide training and mentorship to students interested in information technology industries in Arkansas. It seeks to equip students with the skills needed to gain employment and succeed.

“I believe community members are drawn to the event because of the talent we produce, their interest in taking the program themselves or just the ingenuity of the type of education we are offering,” said Mary Condit, director of ArCA.

The event is open to current and future students, employers and the community at large. There is no fee to attend. For more information about Demo Day, contact Condit at mdunlap@uca.edu or (501) 450-5276.
