Computers, Laptops, Scanners, and Printers

  • 1st floor, Main Lab Area – 65 PC desktops , 5 Mac desktops, 1 Book Scanner, and 5 Flatbed Scanners
  • 1st floor, Room 130B (Next to Starbucks) – 36 PC desktops
  • 1st floor, Room 117- 6 Group Computer Stations (Wireless Keyboard and Mouse available at Circulation Desk)

There are five printers available for printing, three black and white printers are located in the main lab area and one is located in Room 130B. A color printer is available next to the large book scanner.


  • There are 50 PC laptops available for check-out at the Circulation Desk. Only current UCA students, staff, and faculty are eligible to check out laptops. Check-out time is 6 hours and for in library use only.
  • When checking out a laptop, for the first time each semester, a contract must be signed and you are required to show a BearCard and another photo ID. Once the contract is signed, only a BearCard is required for check-out through the rest of the semester.
  • You are fully responsible for the laptop when it is in your possession. If the laptop is damaged, lost, or stolen while checked out to you, you are responsible for replacement costs. If you do not return the laptop, it will be considered stolen property and Torreyson library will take any necessary actions to recover the laptop. These actions may include contacting the UCA Police Department.


  • Black and white printing/copying costs 5¢ per page and color printing costs 50¢ per page.
  • Students receive $5.00 of printing funds on their BearCard every semester. After printing funds are spent, students may use BearBucks to pay for printing.
  • Patrons without a BearCard may purchase a Guest Card at the ADM machine by the Library Computer Support Office. For $1.00, you receive a print card with 5 black and white prints/copies. You may add more funds to your purchased print card at the ADM machine.
