Embarking on the tenure and promotion process is a significant milestone, often accompanied by a mix of excitement and apprehension. This workshop provides a road map to navigate tenure and promotion, providing insights and strategies to guide faculty members. Join us as we look at teaching, research, and service and provide hints on cohesively aligning all three components. We will explain how to organize your tenure application, document your success to support your narrative, showcase your teaching effectiveness, explore strategies to maintain a productive research agenda, and share insights to engage in service opportunities on our campus and in the community. We will discuss challenges and pitfalls that faculty may encounter and how to address them. Conversations regarding mentorship and collaboration with internal and external colleagues, organizing teaching and course evaluation data per semester, and how to compile a compelling narrative will be discussed. In addition to these main topics, we will provide a time for questions and answers.
Lunch will be provided. Registration is available online.
