On September 4th, from 6 pm-8 pm in the College of Business Auditorium, Campus Recreation and Wellness will be hosting “Real Talk: Wellness, Wisdom, & What We Wish We Knew”. This is a student-led panel designed to provide honest, experience-based insight into what it truly takes to thrive in college. This event will feature upperclassmen and graduate students who will share personal stories that reflect their growth across multiple dimensions of wellness—emotional, physical, spiritual, academic, and social.
Through guided questions, panelists will reflect on challenges they’ve faced, lessons they’ve learned, and practical strategies that helped them navigate college successfully. The goal is to offer underclassmen—especially freshmen and sophomores—realistic, relatable, and empowering perspectives from peers who are excelling at the collegiate level.
This is not a traditional lecture or presentation. It’s an intentional space where students can hear authentic narratives about stress management, identity, purpose, balance, and personal development. The session will foster connection, encourage wellness-centered decision-making, and help students begin their academic year with clarity, confidence, and community.
