Join us for a compelling panel discussion where faculty will explore how the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be used to enrich study abroad programs and promote global literacy among students. The SDGs, adopted by UN member states in 2015, offer a powerful framework for addressing the world’s grand challenges—people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership—transcending cultural and national boundaries.
During this event, you will hear from faculty who have successfully integrated the SDGs into their faculty-led programs, providing students with valuable insights into how global issues connect to local realities.
Panelists include:
– Dr. Allison Freed, Assistant Professor and ITEC Program Coordinator
– Dr. Leah Horton, Associate Dean, Norbert O. Schedler Honors College
– Alexandra Nieves, Director of Education Abroad, Center for Global Learning and Engagement
– Dr. Brittany Saviers, Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, Occupational Therapy
This Lunch and Learn, co-sponsored with the Center for Global Learning and Engagement, is a great opportunity to network with colleagues, gain fresh perspectives, and discover ways to broaden students’ horizons through international learning experiences.
Don’t miss out—join us for lunch and conversation on September 24th at 12:15pm!
Registration is online.
