Bachelor of Science

Which History degree is right for me?

The History Department’s Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree prepares students for careers in
digital humanities, information systems, parks and land management, historical preservation and
curation, and scientifically oriented segments of the law, such as environmental law. Our
B.S. program blends the historian’s language of communication, textual analysis, and
contextualization with STEM fields such as computer science, medicine, and land
management. Our students develop the portable skills that today’s – and tomorrow’s – employers
need.
