Faculty and Staff Professional Development

The Center for Global Learning and Engagement offers the Global Learning Institute as an annual professional development workshop for faculty and staff in collaboration with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Academic Leadership. 

2021

The inaugural Global Learning Institute was held on June 17, 2021; the topic was Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). 

2022

The 2022 Institute was held June 15-16, 2022. Day 1 offered an Introduction to COIL workshop. Day 2 included a workshop on Internationalizing the Curriculum, led by experts in COIL and Global Learning.

2023

The 2023 Institute was held June 14-15, 2023. Day 1 explored working with international colleagues to implement a COIL project. Day 2 focused on the Global Learning Scholar Program and unpacking principles of high-impact, faculty-led education abroad programs.

2024

The 2024 Institute will be held May 20-21, 2024. It will be combined with the annual Service-Learning Faculty Fellows Institute, which will be held May 13-24, 2024.
