Project X: Demystifying the Unknowns of College Life

Be a part of the elite class of X-Men!

The Office of Diversity and Community and the Black Male Achievement Challenge (B-MAC) are excited to launch “Project X: Demystifying the Unknowns of College Life” in the Fall 2021 semester.
Project X is an Early Arrival Program that will give men of color a head start to their UCA academic journey by exposing them to resources and the best practices to achieve optimal success. The program will foster brotherhood among participants and connect new students to faculty, staff, and current students who can assist in their transition to UCA and their continued development at the university. Project X is designed to include brotherhood bonding, team-building, academic success workshops, faculty and staff presentations, peer mentoring and leadership development.

X-Men will get the opportunity to move into their residence hall early and participate in the early arrival program free of charge. The expenses for lodging, food, and activities are covered through The Office of Diversity and Community.
Project X premieres Tuesday, August 10-13, 2021 at the University of Central Arkansas and will:
  • Foster a sense of brotherhood among all participants and student mentors
  • Better prepare X-Men for the collegiate experience
  • Expose X-Men to student success and academic achievement strategies
  • Help X-Men gain a strong understanding of campus and academic resources and
  • Foster positive relationships between students, faculty and staff

This is an experience that you don’t want to miss. There will be a limited number of participants. So, be the first to register! What are you waiting for?
