Congrats to our three School of Communication students nominated for the 2023 UCA Homecoming court.

Communication major Imeril Johnson, Public Relations majors Jacey Howerton and Kylie Garritty are each representing the School of Communication, among many other campus organizations, on homecoming court.

Johnson, who plans to continue his education at UCA with a master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration, is heavily involved with Housing and Residence Life. He serves as the complex assistant for Conway Hall and is the vice president of the Resident Housing Association. Johnson also plays cello in the Conway Symphony Orchestra.

“By voting for me for homecoming court, I will be able to represent the values and beliefs we all have as communication scholars,” Johnson said.

Howerton is involved in several organizations on campus. She is a member of the Delta Zeta sorority, Public Relations Student Society of America, Student Orientation Staff, and serves as the director for Relay for Life.

“This campus and the people that have come with it have been the biggest blessing to me. UCA has given me opportunities that I never thought would be possible for me,” Howerton said.

Garritty plans to use her PR degree to serve the community through non profit work. During her time at UCA she has been involved in SGA,  Panhellenic Council, Association of Future Alumni, SOS, Order of Omega, and the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority.

“I have loved being a part of the SoC community for the past three years, you all have been nothing but supportive, kind and such leaders on campus. It would be an honor to represent you all on this year’s homecoming court,” Garritty said.

Voting for king and queen is open from October 16-18, 2023.
