Future Student Guide

This guide will help you navigate the process of applying for the UCA Commitment.

Your Fall 2025 Checklist to UCA Commitment Consideration

Meet all checklist requirements by May 5, 2025 for program consideration.

✓ Admission: Apply as a first-time freshman & have all of required admission documents plus test scores submitted.
✓ Arkansas Resident: Be an Arkansas resident & a graduate from an Arkansas public school, private school, homeschool, or GED recipient.
✓ FAFSA: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) & add us using UCA’s school code 001092.
✓ Income: Be Pell-eligible OR have an annual household income of $100,000 or less.
✓ Arkansas Challenge: Submit your application by May 5 & provide us with documentation.*
✓ UCA Commitment Application: Starting on October 1, apply to the program for eligibility consideration.

*You do not have to receive funding from FAFSA or the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship to participate in UCA Commitment; these steps are simply part of the eligibility process.

Submitting Your ADHE (Arkansas Challenge) Documentation

Option 1: Email Forwarding

This option is the easiest. Once you complete the application you will receive a confirmation email. You can forward this to the UCA Commitment Office as an acceptable proof of application.

  1. Log into your email.
  2. Look for the “Thank you for submitting an application” email from
    SAMS.PortalSupport@ade.arkansas.gov or SAMS.SystemAlert@ade.arkansas.gov.
  3. Forward this email to commitment@uca.edu.

Option 2: PDF Confirmation

If you cannot locate your confirmation email, this is an alternative option to get access to your application submission. You must download the page as a PDF, we cannot accept screenshots.

  1. Log into your ADHE account and head to the homepage with your name and your active applications.
  2. Use the print option in your browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox) to “print the website.”
  3. Save this as a PDF file, not a screenshot.
  4. Email the PDF file to commitment@uca.edu.

FAFSA Information

UCA’s FAFSA School Code: 001092

  • To ensure UCA receives your FAFSA information, enter our school code 001092 when you fill out your FAFSA.
  • If you didn’t do this, it is okay. You are able to log back in, edit your FAFSA and add it.
  • We do not need any additional documentation sent to us to confirm your FAFSA submission, we only need you to send your FAFSA to UCA using the school code.

 Hearing Back on UCA Commitment

  • Students who provide all required documentation by the deadline and meet all required eligibility criteria will automatically be considered opted-in to the UCA Commitment program.
  • We’ll communicate with students regarding their status through the email associated with their UCA application and their UCA cub email address.
