IPE Awards Subcommittee
The IPE Awards Subcommittee is dedicated to recognizing excellence in interprofessional
education, practice, and research. This subcommittee identifies and honors individuals or teams
who demonstrate innovative approaches, outstanding leadership, and impactful contributions to
interprofessional collaboration. By celebrating these achievements, the subcommittee aims to
inspire a culture of excellence and encourage continued advancements in interprofessional
education and practice across the college.
Central to its mission is the administration of the Award for IPE Excellence and Innovation,
which honors interprofessional faculty teams that have demonstrated outstanding contributions to
interprofessional curriculum development, organizational change, team-based collaborative
practice, or community-based interprofessional initiatives.
The subcommittee also administers Interprofessional Honors, recognizing students in the college
who demonstrate a commitment to advancing interprofessional education and practice through
research or program development and implementation.
Assessment and Research Subcommittee
The Assessment and Research Subcommittee is responsible for evaluating the outcomes of
interprofessional education initiatives and conducting research to inform evidence-based
practices. This group collects and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of IPE activities,
ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with institutional goals. Their work contributes
to the body of knowledge on interprofessional education and provides insights that shape future
initiatives.
Faculty Development Subcommittee
The Faculty Development Subcommittee focuses on equipping faculty with the knowledge,
skills, and resources needed to effectively integrate interprofessional education into their
teaching. This subcommittee supports faculty training through organizing faculty development
workshops.
Student Learning Event Planning Subcommittee (IPE Forum)
The Student Learning Event Planning Subcommittee takes the lead in organizing and engaging
college wide IPE events, such as the annual IPE Forum which brings students from various
disciplines together for collaborative learning experiences. This sub-committee also serves as a
valuable resource for faculty across the college, offering guidance and support in designing and
implementing effective interprofessional education activities.
Curriculum Integration Subcommittee
The Curriculum Integration Subcommittee is charged with embedding interprofessional
education throughout academic programs in the college. This subcommittee collaborates with
faculty and program leaders to align IPE activities with course objectives and competencies,
ensuring that students develop the skills needed for effective interprofessional teamwork and
practice.
