Dr. Amy Hawkins serves as the Assistant Provost of Teaching and Academic Leadership. Amy has been a professor in public relations at the University of Central Arkansas since 1999. She teaches upper-division courses in public relations management, campaign planning, organizational communication and leadership. She is accredited in public relations (APR) and serves as the faculty advisor for the UCA chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). She has a Ph. D. in organizational leadership from Regent University, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a master’s degree in communication from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her research has focused on the relationship between organizational learning and leadership in the context of a Fortune 500 learning organization. In addition to her role in higher education, she has served as a research consultant and offers coaching and consulting services in organizational analysis, strategic planning, leadership development, and performance training.
