Micro-Internship Opportunities

BEAR Life Micro-Internships

What is a Micro-Internship?

A micro-internship is a short-term, paid project to help students gain experience. You can try different jobs in your field of interest by doing job simulations on Forage or you can apply for a specific project through Parker-Dewey. A BEAR Life Micro-Internship will help you:

  • Learn new skills
  • See what real jobs are like
  • Get experience you can put on a resumé

After completing 8-12 hours of job simulations through Forage or 10-hour project through Parker-Dewey, BEAR Life members can receive a $200 payment.

You may choose to complete a micro-internship through either Parker-Dewey or Forage.

How it works: Parker-Dewey

  1. Go to Parker-Dewey. Parker-Dewey Micro-Internships
  2. Create an account.
  3. Apply for a project. Select a project that is interesting to you, or explore something new!
  4. After being approved for the project, complete it.
  5. You will receive your payment through Parker-Dewey.

How it works: Forage

  1. Go to Forage. BEAR Life Forage Home Page
  2. Pick what you like. Choose simulations that match your major, or the kind of job you may want in the future. You may also choose to explore something new!
  3. Complete 8-12 hours. Do the simulation activities. Most take between one or five hours. You can combine different simulations to reach 8-12 hours total.
  4. Get your certificate. After finishing each simulation, you will receive a completion certificate.
  5. Submit your certificates to BEAR Life using this Google Form and you will receive your payment through UCA.

What you’ll need to get paid
