The UCA Wind Ensemble is the premier organization in the Bands department and is composed of the finest woodwind, brass, and percussion students at the university. The Wind Ensemble performs five to six concerts during the academic year, showcasing challenging new works for wind bands, foundational pieces in wind literature, and chamber music throughout the medium’s history.
Recent ensemble highlights include multiple performances at the biennial CBDNA Southwestern Division conference and a residency with Grammy Award-winning composer Michael Daugherty. The ensemble will also perform at the 2027 National CBDNA Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
