The Jazz Department at the University of Central Arkansas hosts two large jazz ensembles, each showcasing the quintessential instrumentation of the genre. These ensembles feature a robust lineup of 4-5 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones, and a rhythm section. In addition, Jazz Combos are available to give students the opportunity to work on improvisational skills in a more intimate setting.
Spring 2025 UCA Jazz Band Auditions
This semester, both bands will perform with 3-time Grammy nominee Troy Roberts, and both bands will headline their own jazz festival in late Spring!!
