Paying for college can be overwhelming, but the UCA Theatre Program has many financial opportunities awaiting students! UCA Theatre awards nearly $15,000 in scholarships and over $25,000 in work-study positions to its students every year.
Scholarships may vary in amount and are awarded to students who have the potential to contribute leadership to our program by filling positions as performers, technicians, or production assistants.

Entering Students Application – Performance Scholarships for Entering Freshmen and Transfer Students are available to all Theatre majors and are awarded on a semester basis. Entering freshmen and transfer students must submit the application and schedule an audition by the deadline. Auditions are assessed on this Scholarship Audition Rubric.
Continuing Students Application – Performance Scholarships are available to all Theatre majors. These are awarded on a semester basis so you must reapply each semester regardless of whether you’ve previously received a performance scholarship. Receptionist are required to contribute to the Theatre Program.
Junior and Senior Theatre and Film students are eligible for the James Bridges Scholarship. The money supports outstanding student-artists as they pursue studies in Acting, Directing, or Dramatic Writing for the stage, film, or TV. Applications are taken in the Spring of each year with the scholarship awarded for the following year. Applicants must submit an approved Artistic Project in their area of interest. Senior Theatre majors (90 hours or more) are eligible for the William C. Plummer Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded based upon financial need. Applications are taken in the Spring of each year with the scholarship awarded for the following year. Plummer Scholarship Requirements Due on Friday, April 8, 2016, for 2016-2017.
