UCA Theatre Scholarship: Fall 2025

UCA Theatre Scholarships are awarded on a semester basis to Continuing Students who have demonstrated talent, skill, and commitment to the UCA Theatre Program and to Entering Students who have demonstrated potential for such traits. By submitting this application, you acknowledge you have read the UCA Theatre Performance Scholarship Requirements and understand that this scholarship is dependent upon applicants meeting all qualifications required and receiving the recommendation of the Theatre Scholarship Committee.   If the application is approved, UCA Theatre scholars are expected to contribute, in the semester they receive the scholarship, to the Theatre Program by working on a faculty- or guest-directed production in one or more of the following ways. All scholarship offers are subject to the approval of the UCA Scholarship Compliance Office and FAFSA completion.

  1. Act (Scholarship students who are offered a role must accept the role in order to retain the scholarship.) 2. Design scenery, properties, lighting, sound, or costumes* 3. Stage manage* or assistant stage manage 4. Serve on a run crew and serve as head, if asked (i.e. head of wardrobe, head of scene shift run crew, etc.)** 5. Work 60 hours in a technology shop (costumes, scenic, lights, props). 6. Work 60 hours as an Administrative Assistant for UCA Theatre or the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. Rehearsals vary based on the director, but are usually between 6-10 PM Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday. These are not paid positions. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the scholarship funds being revoked. *Most designer and stage management positions are assigned at the end of the Spring semesters prior to auditions; therefore these positions are not available to Entering students. ** Most crew positions are filled in the Fall semester prior to auditions.
