The First-time Transfer Student Laptop Initiative is closed. All laptops have been awarded.
Due to the unique and challenging circumstances resulting from COVID-19, this fall UCA is working to ensure any first-time transferring students without the financial ability to purchase a laptop have an opportunity to obtain one.

Eligibility:
- A full- or part-time student seeking a degree
- Enrolled in Fall 2021 courses at UCA
- Have not attended UCA before transferring for Summer 2021 or Fall 2021 courses
- A first-time transfer student is defined as someone who has not attended UCA before and has transferred to UCA for Summer 2021 or Fall 2021 to obtain a degree.
- Taking concurrent courses through UCA while in high school is not considered “attending UCA”.
Selection Process:
- Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received until the supply of laptops is exhausted.
- The student will receive an email no earlier than August 5, 2021, stating whether their application has been denied or awarded.
Award decisions are at the committee’s discretion, based on the student’s Statement of Need. All committee decisions are final.
Please be aware that this is not for a cash award. If awarded, you will receive a new laptop ordered by the IT department to meet UCA’s baseline computer specs.
