Arkansas and the World: International Affairs Summer Camp

The Department of Political Science will host the Arkansas and the World: International Affairs Summer Camp at UCA for high school students on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas on July 9-14, 2023.  This summer camp is one of the few summer camps in the United States focusing primarily on international affairs.  High school students attending this summer camp will participate in educational workshops and experiential learning activities that enhance their knowledge and understanding of international affairs, diplomacy, and organizations in the 21st century.  Specifically, students will participate in educational workshops on international relations; the United Nations (UN); international security; international social, humanitarian, and cultural issues; and the fundamentals of Model United Nations.  Students will also participate in interactive simulations of UN bodies as representatives of countries and participate in social activities during the evenings, including a Global Trivia Competition.
