The annual Arkansas High School Model Arab League (AHSMAL) conference is sponsored by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations (NCUSAR) and is hosted by a college or university in the state of Arkansas each spring semester. Originally known as the South Central States Model Arab League (SCSMAL), Model Arab League conferences for high school students in Arkansas and neighboring states were held at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville beginning in 1996. The University of Arkansas-Little Rock hosted the AHSMAL conferences from 2011 to 2020. The University of Central Arkansas hosted the AHSMAL conference in 2023. After more than a decade, the AHSMAL conference returned to the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville in 2024.
