Each of the committees list below have been assigned three topics. The members of the committees will determine the order of the agenda items (committee topics) to be debated and the extent to which the agenda items (committee topics) will be debated. It is possible, perhaps likely, that only one or two of the three agenda items (committee topics) will be debated in a committee during the conference. Nevertheless, delegates should be prepared to debate all three topics. Members of the UN Security Council will decide on their agenda items during the conference based on what is happening in the real world at that time.
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
(1) Addressing the negative impacts of global climate change on economic growth in developed and developing countries.
(2) Dealing with the problem of microplastic pollution throughout the world.
(3) Addressing the loss of biodiversity throughout the world, including losses caused by commercial agriculture/logging and urbanization.
Human Rights Council (HRC)
(1) Ending child marriages and forced marriages.
(2) Protecting the rights of indigenous peoples.
(3) Addressing the threat to human rights of ethnic, religious, and other minorities by authoritarian governments throughout the world.
Council of the Arab League
(1) Addressing the problem of uneven economic and social development in the Middle East.
(2) Preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.
(3) Dealing with the consequences of global climate change in the Middle East.
