Each of the committees list below have been assigned two topics. The members of the committees will determine the order of the agenda items (committee topics) to be debated and the extent to which the agenda items (committee topics) will be debated. It is possible, perhaps likely, that only one of two agenda items (committee topics) will be debated in a committee during the conference. Nevertheless, delegates should be prepared to debate both topics. Members of the Security Council will decide on their agenda items during the conference based on what is happening in the real world at that time. For each committee topic, we will provide a selected list of sources of background information. For the purpose of developing your assigned country’s position regarding the topics, we recommend that you search for additional sources of information that pertain specifically to your assigned country.
