Students from the University of Central Arkansas Aviation Academy were awarded scholarships through the Arkansas Aviation Historical Society recently.

The Arkansas Aviation Historical Society hosted its Hall of Fame Ceremony on Nov. 7 and  Zane Harris of Conway, Tyler Strazzinski of Sherwood, and Rhiannon Umfleet of Rogers were awarded Arkansas Aviation Historical Society scholarships in the amount of $6,000 each.

To be eligible for the awards, students must be accepted and enrolled in an Arkansas Part 141 Flight Program associated with a college or university, have a private pilot’s license and provide a minimum of two references to provide letters of recommendation in support of the candidate’s application for the AAHS or Department of Aeronautics Scholarships.
