Explaining complex natural phenomena to children can be challenging, but Darcy Pattison has done just that. Pattison is an award-winning children’s author from Arkansas. Her awards include the Irma Black Honor award, five National Science Teachers’ Association Outstanding Science Trade Books, four Eureka! Nonfiction Honor book (California Reading Association).
Darcy will read Eclipse: How the 1919 Solar Eclipse Proved Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity at several venues across campus on Eclipse Day 2024. Eclipse books will be given to children at the readings and the Meet the Author session. These events and book distributions were funded by a grant from the Arkansas Space Grant Consortium.
