Students in the UCA Commitment program beginning in Fall 2024 will be required to complete 10 hours of service each semester to remain eligible for the program, and service-learning courses are one way in which UCA Commitment students can fulfill this requirement. In order to provide advisors with an accurate and updated list of service-learning course offerings before they build schedules for incoming UCA Commitment students, faculty planning to teach service-learning courses in Fall 2024 are strongly encouraged to designate their service-learning courses by March 15th, 2024 using the Service-Learning Course Designation Form. The form is available at uca.edu/servicelearning/faculty/faculty-resources/.
Additionally, faculty who are interested in connecting with other interested faculty and partners for small group collaborations focused on a particular issue are invited to complete the Faculty Partnership Interest Form to indicate the ways in which they are willing to partner and the issues around which they would like to connect. We hope that small group collaborations will help us foster long-term, sustainable partnerships across disciplines for a greater community impact. This interest form can also be found on the website uca.edu/servicelearning/faculty/faculty-resources/.
Any questions can be directed to Lesley Graybeal, Director of Experiential & Community-Engaged Learning, at lgraybeal@uca.edu. Thank you!
