Internships are experiential education opportunities that provide students the opportunity to apply skills obtained in the classroom. Internships can be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid, and may or may not include academic credit.
The Career Services uses a program called Bears4Hire, powered by Handshake, to share internship opportunities with students. Students interested in internships for academic credit work with an internship coordinator within their department to identify an appropriate internship placement, establish learning outcomes, and evaluate their experience.
